Hockey, stripped down

Forget the pressure. Forget the politics. Four skaters a side, no goalies, low pond nets, and a clock that never stops. No hiding behind systems, no dump and chase. Every player is a playmaker.

Questions

How many players can be on a team?

Up to 8, with at least 4 rostered players on the ice for each game. All players must be present by your first game and verified by a tournament official.

Who is eligible to play?

Players must be 18 or older as of December 31 and registered with USA Hockey with a valid number. Players on current youth rosters (18U or high school) are not eligible.

How does registration work?

Register your team for $1,200 through TeamSnap, which includes a team tent. Every team is reviewed and placed in a division based on its players' prior-year level.

Can I sign up without a team?

Not at this time. Registration is by team only.

How are penalties handled?

There is no penalty box. For minor infractions the official awards possession. For serious ones, such as body checking, blocking the goal with anything but a stick or skate blade, or a high slapshot, the official awards a goal.

When can a team be forced to forfeit?

If fewer than four rostered players are on the ice and ready at the opening horn (with a one-minute grace if they are on site), or if a player has not been verified by a tournament official.

What equipment do I need?

A hockey helmet with a fastened chin strap and hockey skates. Other protective gear is optional but recommended. Teams need both light and dark jerseys; the home team wears dark.

What is the VIP locker room?

A private locker room for your team for $350. Only three are available, and you can reserve one through TeamSnap from the registration section.
